Red Light

Red Light was the first television series created by Man Up. The main writer of Red Light is the much-acclaimed author and screenwriter Esther Gerritsen, co-written by Halina. Directed by Wouter Bouvijn and Anke Blondé.
Synopsis:
In 'Red Light' Carice van Houten, Halina Reijn and Maaike Neuville portray three women from different backgrounds whose lives become intertwined after a mysterious disappearance. Sylvia (Carice van Houten), a sex worker, runs and works in a brothel with her boyfriend/pimp Ingmar (Geert van Rampelberg), Esther (Halina Reijn) is a well-known opera singer from a upper-class environment and Evi (Maaike Neuville) is a ambitious policewoman who tries to combine solving the disappearance with her family life. They end up in the dangerous and intriguing world of human trafficking, prostitution and exploitation in Antwerp and Amsterdam. The disappearance causes a lot of commotion and the pressure to solve the case increases. Gradually, the three opposites find out how much they need each other to solve their problems.
